The Intergenerational Dementia Café- 7th July’26
The Intergenerational Dementia Café at Coulsdon Methodist church is a free community event. This takes place on the the first Tuesday of each month in the church Hall. It provides a safe, welcoming space for people living with dementia and their carers. This café focuses on bringing different generations together to reduce isolation. You don’t have to have dementia to attend. Typical sessions include:
· Interactive Activities: Live music, seated dance/yoga, workshops and arts and crafts
· Support and Pampering: Care advice, connections with Community services and occassional pampering sessions
· Refreshments: A warm social space offering hot drinks and light bites.
Craft Club in John Saunders Room –(JSR)
The next Craft club will be taking place on the 20th July at 10.00am in the John Saunders Room. This month the activity taking place will be Huck Embroidery and you are advised to bring a sewing if you attend. There will be refreshments provided and a small fee charged to cover expenses for materials etc. All are welcome to take part, to meet new friends and to learn a new skill.
Prayer for the people of Venezuela
Loving and merciful God,
We pray for the people of Venezuela following the recent earthquake. Bring comfort to those who are grieving, healing to the injured, and strength to all who are facing loss and uncertainty. Guide those providing rescue, relief, and medical care, and grant wisdom to leaders as they respond to the needs of their communities.
May your peace sustain all who are suffering, and may hope shine through the kindness and compassion of those who come to their aid.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, your son.
Amen.
