Concert for Paul Field.
One of Croydon Circuit's local preachers is organising a concert for Paul Field to give to celebrate his 50 years as a Christian singer-songwriter at Emmanuel Church, South Croydon on Saturday, 11 May at 7.30pm - details attached on Flyer on the Notice board.
Many people in the Methodist Church will remember Paul Field for his association with the ministry of the late Rev. Rob Frost - Paul was a popular performer at Easter People - and musicals such as Daybreak, Burning Questions, Hopes & Dreams (which marked the new Millennium) and Cargo (celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Abolition of the slave trade and drawing attention to modern slavery). He also wrote Millennium Prayer, a setting of the Lord's Prayer that was recorded by Cliff Richard to mark the start of the new Millennium.
