Circuit Wayfarer afternoons in June - Whitethorn Ave and Sanderstead
A “wayfarer” is a person on a journey, a traveller. Aren’t we all? The Purley Methodist Circuit, to which this church belongs, is to hold two “wayfarer afternoons” in June – quiet afternoons for prayer with inspiring installations and activities to help us hear God, and maybe take a step forward on our own journeys. They will be held at Whitethorn Avenue on Sunday 14th June and at Sanderstead on Sunday 21st June, each from 2.00 to 5.00 p.m. with self-service refreshments available. Come to either (or both!), drop in at any time and stay as long as you like.
Have your say on digital in our church
Whoever you are, whatever your role: minister, steward, regular worshipper, volunteer helping out, family member of someone in the church - we'd genuinely like to hear from you. You don't need a digital background, or any particular knowledge, or to be part of any group.
We're asking everyone across the Methodist Church to contribute to this programme of work. We're posting on social media, putting links in emails, asking circuits to place inserts into bulletins and sending out postcards to churches.
We're trying as hard as possible to listen to as many people as possible.
What's working, what's frustrating, what worries you, what you hope for.
To share your view via the link - Tell us about digital and the Methodist Church. At the end of every month, we publish a short "Here's what we heard" post that names the themes that emerged, what we've done already and what we're looking at doing going forward.
