Ash Wednesday Service – 18th February’26 Sanderstead

This year’s Purley Circuit Ash Wednesday service will be taking place at Sanderstead at 7.00pm. This will be a Holy Communion service with imposition of the ashes and it will be led by Revd. Stephen Mares. All are welcome.

Lent Course - 2026

Coulsdon will be running a 5-week Lent Course based on the book “Follow” by Floyd McClung. This will be reading and sharing our faith and discovering what it means to follow Jesus. The course will start on 24th February at 2pm in the chapel. You are advised to purchase the book before attending. Pre-owned books can be purchased via E-Bay or new ones from Amazon.  For further details please contact Revd. Sang Wook Han. 

World Day of Prayer 2026 - Nigeria

Our sisters in Nigeria invite us to join them for the World Day of Prayer on Friday 6 March 2026. The service they have prepared reflects on the theme, "I will give you rest." The World Day of Prayer is an international, women-led, ecumenical movement that shares the hopes, concerns, and prayers of women from around the globe.

‘Croydon Together’ Winter Shelter

Last Thursday saw the opening of the ‘Croydon Together’ Winter Shelter, which is being run as a collaboration between Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) and Croydon churches.

It is set to run until mid-April, providing a warm welcome and safe place to sleep, hot meals, showers and a community-based approach to support for 12-20 men and women experiencing homelessness

One report from the night: ‘I volunteered for the opening night and had a great time. It wasn’t at all arduous. The project is being headed up by CVA, but all of the volunteers were from Croydon Churches. I thought it was a great witness.’

There are still some volunteer spaces to fill. All volunteers are required to attend a training session.
